Alas, it's apparently not in the cards after all. Perhaps a few years ago, hardly anyone imagined that the heroes of Persona 5 were waiting for such a huge success, and they would be able to steal so many hearts around the world.
That every other mainline Persona game can be played in one form or another on a handheld, and that Atlus supported the 3DS extensively, only added fuel to the fire for a P5 Switch port. Ultimate and then teasing Persona 5S for several months - only for that game to end up being a Persona musou spin-off - just led fans on.
The only likely port of P5R is to the PC, though I think it will happen many years from now when they are trying to build up hype for P6, which will inenivietably be a PS5 exclusive. Same way SMT 5 is a switch only exclusive and Playstation owners wont ever get to experience it. If Atlus is a bit tired of all the complaints and asking for ports, it must be said some of the blame falls on the company itself. Only smallish persona spin offs come on Nintendo. The post also mentioned there will be no save data carryover option, meaning those who are in the middle of P5 when Royal launches will just have to start all over again if they want to play the new expansion. This promo art holds a clue for what platforms P5:Royal will be on. The first was shortly after the system launched in 2017 and people wanted P5 on it, and then Atlus repeated the statement a few times in connection with Royal - when it was initially shown off and again after the official reveal. If this news sounds familiar, that's because Atlus has repeatedly said there are no plans for Persona 5 on the Switch. The post is on the Japanese Persona Channel website, but the power of Google Translate means we can still get the gist of what's being said. It's always possible the game might make its way to Switch or another console a year or six months down the road from its initial release. There are currently ‘no plans’ to release Persona 5 Royal on any platforms beyond PlayStation 4. If the Destroy All Humans aliens want to conquer us to host Rammstein concerts, we'd kinda be okay with it.
PERSONA 5 ROYAL SWITCH PS4
Persona 5 Royal will be a PS4 exclusive, at least for now. Ultimate. However, Atlus did add the usual enigmatic phrase "at this point" after saying there are no plans for the game on other systems. Atlus has 'no plans' for Persona 5 Royal Switch release. In addition to the core Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors brands (and the Orochi Warriors crossover), Omega Force has developed games based on Gundam, The Legend of Zelda, One Piece, and Fire Emblem franchises using the tactical beat-’em-up formula.Ītlus’ reveal of Persona 5 Scramble comes the day after the announcement of a new version of Persona 5 for PS4, Persona 5: The Royal, and one week after Joker’s debut in Super Smash Bros. A summer vacation with close friends takes a.A59. Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers is being developed by Atlus and Omega Force, the Koei Tecmo studio known for its work on the Warriors games. Strike Back Join the Phantom Thieves and strike back against the corruption overtaking cities across Japan. The teaser ends with a glimpse of a new character. Persona 5 Royal is indeed a ridiculously massive game, but there have been equally as big (and bigger) games launched on the Nintendo Switch such as Dragon Quest XI S and The Witcher 3.
PERSONA 5 ROYAL SWITCH PC
In the style of Koei Tecmo’s Warriors (aka Musou) games, Joker is seen battling dozens of Persona 5 Shadows at once. If Strikers does well on Switch, I could see them porting Persona 5 Royal to Switch during the port to PC process. Persona 5 Strikers releases on February 23, 2021, on PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. In a teaser trailer for Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, protagonist Joker is shown fighting alongside his persona, Arsene, at Shibuya’s famous “scramble” crossing. Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 probably have the most in-depth romance.
That game, announced on Thursday, is coming to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Atlus and Koei Tecmo are teaming up to reimagine Persona 5 as a Dynasty Warriors-style beat-’em-up called Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers.
